Описание: Bunyola s'assenta a l'entrada natural de la Serra de Tramuntana, entre torrents, horts i vessants d'alzines que anuncien la muntanya. Els seus orígens es remunten a l'època islàmica, quan el territori estava organitzat en alqueries que aprofitaven els recursos hídrics abundants de la vall. Després de la conquesta catalana del 1229, Bunyola es va consolidar com a comunitat agrícola i punt estratègic a l'antic camí que comunicava Palma amb Sóller, paper que en va marcar el desenvolupament històric i social.
Culturalment, el poble conserva un caràcter sobri i autèntic. L´església de Sant Mateu, d´origen gòtic i reformada en estil barroc, presideix el nucli urbà. Tradicions com les festes patronals de Sant Mateu o les celebracions de Sant Antoni reflecteixen el fort vincle entre la població i el seu entorn natural. El paisatge cultural de Bunyola es completa amb antigues cases de possessió, sèquies, molins i jardins històrics com ara Jardins d’Alfàbia, exemple del diàleg entre herència islàmica i estètica senyorial.
Turísticament, Bunyola és porta d'entrada a rutes històriques i senders de muntanya. Des d'aquí parteixen camins cap al Coll de Sóller, al Barranc de Biniaraix o als cims de la Tramuntana, oferint experiències per a senderistes i ciclistes.

After the Catalan conquest of 1229, Bunyola consolidated itself as an agricultural community and a strategic point on the old road connecting Palma with Sóller, a role that shaped its historical and social development.
Culturally, the town retains a simple and authentic character. The Church of Sant Mateu, originally Gothic and later renovated in the Baroque style, dominates the town center. Traditions such as the patron saint festivities of Sant Mateu and the celebrations of Sant Antoni reflect the strong connection between the town and its natural surroundings. Bunyola's cultural landscape is further enhanced by old country houses, irrigation ditches, mills, and historic gardens such as Jardins d’Alfàbia, an example of the interplay between Islamic heritage and stately aesthetics. From a tourism perspective, Bunyola serves as a gateway to historical routes and mountain trails. Paths lead from here to the Coll de Sóller pass, the Barranc de Biniaraix ravine, and the peaks of the Tramuntana mountains, offering experiences for hikers and cyclists. The Sóller train, which runs through the municipality, adds a touch of nostalgia to the journey, linking landscape and memory.


Bunyola liegt am natürlichen Eingang zur Serra de Tramuntana, eingebettet zwischen Bächen, Obstgärten und eichenbewachsenen Hängen, die die Berge ankündigen.
