Hundreds of dancers, musicians and spectators — Native and non-Native — gathered on the Plaza in Santa Fe, New Mexico, on October 9, 2023, for the Honoring Native Nations Powwow, organized by the Santa Fe Indigenous Center in honor of Indigenous Peoples Day.
The event, organizers said, marked the very first powwow ever held on the Plaza.
