Описание: Here are the Bobby Thomas Orioles with their rendition of "It's To Soon to Know," the first release by the Orioles. It initially appeared on the Natural Label in the summer of 1948 and then on Jubilee in the fall. This is the song that started the rhythm n' blues vocal group genre (although the Ravens came first with more of a jazz/pop blues.")! As background, Sonny Til, original Orioles lead singer, decided to form a new Orioles group in 1966, and asked Bobby Thomas, a lifelong fan and the former lead of the Vibranaires (some say that was the name of the Orioles before they changed it), to join, which he did for about a decade or so. After Sonny passed in 1981, Thomas formed his own Orioles group, many of whom are seen here in a 1992 appearance at a New Jersey hotel ballroom. The group usually consisted of Bobby (who sings lead on this song), Michael Hartsfield, Phillip Thomas, and Bernard Brown. Bobby toured with them for a few decades until his own passing in 2012. I am sorry that the lighting makes the video sub-par, but I believe that the audio is good enough to show the excellent quality of this quartet!
