Wout Smeets aka WoodS, returns to the GREEN fold having dropped some digits and embarked on a new solo adventure. Having last featured on the label back in 2014 under his previous moniker and in collaboration with Pitto (Shadows), plus alongside Rejected boss Edwin Oosterwal (Missing EP) on our sister label, the supremely skilled pianist and producer returns with a stunning new single ‘Desert Storms.’

A master of melody, WoodS has crafted a beautiful eastern-influenced hook that in combination with it's swirling washes, smooth chords and delicate pads, evokes scenes of sandstorms and Bedouin encampments.

Having fallen for the original, GREEN boss Joris Voorn snapped it up and swiftly set to work on a personal re- rub of his own. Bringing the melody to the fore, adding with his own dancing keys and wrapping the entire mix within an all enveloping blanket of bass.
