Bangladesh’s national election has taken a dramatic turn after Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman alleged large-scale manipulation during the vote counting stage. According to him, the voting process itself was mostly peaceful and transparent, but serious irregularities occurred when ballots were counted, leading to questionable final results in multiple constituencies.

The controversy intensified around Dhaka-13 (Mohammadpur), where Khilafat Majlis Secretary General Mamunul Haque contested with the rickshaw symbol.
