XP11 version: Getting Started with A-Better-Camera (ABC) v1.7.8 for X-Plane

Описание: This is a 45-minute walk-through video showing how to get started using A-Better-Camera as the default X-Plane camera, replacing the native X-Plane camera, without changing your workflow! The video shows X-Plane 11, however, the plugin works even better (normally, but not on my machine, as it turns out) with X-Plane 12!

Unfortunately, this video rambles a bit towards the end, and then, suddenly, my USB subsystem on my useless (truly horrid) 2024-era M3 iMac ends up crashing, causing all my USB devices to spontaneously disassemble, causing X-Plane to crash horribly with zero warning and not even a normal crash screen because it's completely and totally hosed. This, however, did not break my video recording which successfully and happily continued recording my personal desktop which was not cool at all, not cool, I say. So, long story short, I end the video at that point and had to go back and add a blur effect over top of all my personal information on the Mac desktop at the time of the crash, until the end of the video. Joy of joys. :-) Seriously, though, there's not truly anything personal shown and then blurred, but for good measure, I still blur it all .. just my Finder windows, really. :-) And a Terminal window. All normal stuff, but still.... :-(

Stupid iMac. I really hate this machine. I am working on a plan to replace it. Until then, .. well, you'll see. This video is made on X-Plane 11, because of the horrid performance of the M3 iMac, and thankfully XP11 works way better with this horrible absolutely disgusting architecture that only puts out about 1 megabit per second of memory transfer bandwidth for an app that should require a LOT more. I hate Apple for making this machine, and forcing me to buy it since it was the only iMac form-factor they offered after my bigger, nicer, x86-based iMac Pro gave up the ghost. I am really not happy about this machine, and I wasted so much money on it. Apple, you've really let me down with the worst architecture ever. I want my money back. 'Nuff said.

Well, not 'nuff said -- I can't say this enough: Do not (I repeat, DO NOT) buy an M3 iMac to run X-Plane! Please promise me you won't do it. It's not a good machine. :-( I don't think you could pick a worse architecture for such a graphics-intensive application as X-Plane 12. :-( It doesn't scream, and in fact, it barely crawls due to its non-expandable (but that wouldn't help anyway) soldered-memory architecture, where the same exact same memory is shared between GPU and CPU functions --meaning the entire system degrades incredibly poorly under the load of memory transfer limits that are FIXED at extremely low levels, because of Apple's ridiculous design for the iMac, that essentially makes it impossible to use for anything of any value at all.
