Pakistan fans enjoyed an exuberant start to the much anticipated T20 World Cup clash but would soon end up with disappointment after their team suffered a 61 runs defeat.

Fans disapproved India's gesture of not shaking hands with Pakistan players before and after the match.

Players of the two sides stopped shaking hands during the Asia Cup campaign last year. Following some hectic negotiations between ICC and PCB after the boycott threat, hopes were raised about the resumption of handshakes.

On the eve of the match, India captain Suryakumar Yadav asked media to wait for 24 hours to find out about his team's handshake policy.
