In Akan tradition, everyday has its God/Goddess. Thursday has Yaw/Yao/Yaa/Yah. Getting even complex is, that’s where the name (Yahweh) came from
Nyame is the Akan God. And it runs through all ethnic groups.
It’s quite complex but for the start. Kwame is a combination of Kwa and Amen. Saturday is his day (Amen da which has been corrupted into Mememenda.
