I love to capture historic markers, and make no mistake, there is A LOT of Civil War stuff all around where I live here in East Tennessee. I cover a handful of these interesting markers taking a route that is basically the same as the major battles leading up to Ft. Sanders. This is part 1 where I take a quick tour of some the spots rich in history leading to downtown Knoxville. Here's a list of stops we make:
