SWFL Eagles~F23 & M15 Both Bring Food-A Close Look at the Mystery Meat-Emerging Pin Feathers_1.13.26

F23 gets the mystery meat to the nest. She pants for a while afterward. E26 is curious and waddles over to it. The cams zoom in and we get a close inspection of this mass of fur. This meat has been a blessing, and the eagle family has had several meals from it. It's sad for the apparent canine who met his demise on the road. I hope it was not someone's beloved pet. We also get a close look of E26's emerging pin feathers which are coming in so beautifully. While the cam is zoomed, F23 will leave the nest. M15 arrives later with a fish. Mom takes the fish..."Hi-Ho the derry-o...!" LOL! The footage is from both cams #1 and cam 4K. No audio on the 4K cam during the recording of this video footage. M15 will feed E26 who is so stuffed can only take a few bites of fish as the eaglet lays underneath a stick. Fortunately, E26 is not stuck and gets out from underneath it ok. F23 returns with some greenery and all three are on the nest. There's plenty of food and fluff. It's a good day for this precious eagle family. Thanks for watching!

This nest is located in North Fort Myers, Florida. They usually lay eggs in November, and eggs typically begin hatching in December. This is the third season with the new female F23, whom M15 chose after longtime mate, Harriet, disappeared in 2022 leaving behind 2 eaglets which M15 successfully raised by himself until they both fledged.
