Modern film franchise and streaming shows have alienated fans and ruined great franchises with endless lecturing and moralizing. All these properties want to preach about their personal and political opinions, driving away viewers. But fans don't want to be scolded about representation as they watch an IP they used to enjoy. Hollywood has forgotten that it's possible to entertain while also sending a message, rather than just sermonizing. If they want an example of how to do it right, they should look to the past. A show came out in 1964 that demonstrates how to do social metaphors and political messaging without being blatantly sanctimonious. The show was "BEWITCHED". The beloved TV classic "BEWITCHED" was ahead of its time, and so skillfully did what our modern entertain industry is clearly unable to do.
