Check out the Bible verses below for some encouragement.
Waiting is hard. Waiting is uncomfortable. It's easy to feel frustrated, invisible or even start doubting. And whether you are a writer or pursuing any calling, waiting can feel like nothing is happening at all.
You start wondering...Is God really moving? Does He see me? Am I supposed to be here?
But here's the truth. God is still at work. He's shaping you, preparing you, and positioning you for what's ahead, even when you can't see it yet.
Scripture is full of people who lived in that tension and God was never absent, even when it appeared that He was. In this video, I go over three stories from the Bible that show God present during the waiting period.
There are many different types of waiting:
Abraham - Quiet waiting/uncertainty
Joseph - Painful waiting/injustice
Hannah - Emotional waiting/misunderstood faith
I hope you find encouragement with this video. Let me know if any of these stories from the Bible resonated with you and your waiting period.
Until next time, this is Write & Witness, where we write faithfully, witness boldly, and trust God to use our stories.
Verses of encouragement:
Psalm 27:14: "Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!"
Psalm 130:5: "I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope."
Isaiah 40:31: "But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint."
Ecclesiastes 3:1: “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”
Proverbs 16:9: “In their hearts, humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.”
