As the name suggests, night glow prints start glowing with an eldritch, greenish glow in low light conditions. And this green glow instantly catches everyone’s attention. This type of print is extremely prominent, even in the pitch dark. Moreover, this shine is not powered by any electrical source or any light bulb.

Night glow media is coated with a special photoluminescent chemical. And this chemical has a very special property.
1. It absorbs light during the day, and
2. It emits that same light when it becomes dark

Night glow prints work very much like all solar cells. They absorb light energy. And after being charged, they release the same. Also, like any cell, they get discharged after some time. And the intensity eventually comes down to zero. The next time this sign is exposed to light, the cycle is repeated.

Glow-in-the-dark prints are primarily used to fabricate safety signs like fire exit signs, emergency exit, danger, high voltage, fire assembly points, escape routes, fire evacuation maps, etc.

All these prints look like ordinary printed signs during the day.

But in case of a fire emergency in a commercial building, one of the first things to fail is the electrical power systems. Imagine this scenario. You are trapped in a building that has caught fire. There are no lights because the power lines have short-circuited. It's dark and difficult to see. And you urgently need to find directions to the nearest safe location.

Now, any electrically powered sign is non-functional. And this is when you come upon a photoluminescent sign glowing all by itself. And points you to the closest emergency exit and potentially acts as a lifesaver.
