Описание: In this video, we explore the remarkable and nearly forgotten life of St. Torin (or Thorin) of Hamar, a 13th-century Norwegian bishop whose quiet holiness was revealed decades after his death.

St. Torin, a bishop exiled for defending the rights of the Church against royal interference, died in obscurity in 1285 at a Cistercian monastery in Ter Doest, Flanders. Nearly fifty years later, his tomb was opened during masonry work, releasing a mysterious fragrance and revealing an intact poem written by a monk who remembered his extraordinary virtue.

This rediscovery led to miracles, renewed veneration, and the revival of devotion to this humble yet steadfast defender of ecclesiastical freedom. Though gentle in appearance, St. Torin possessed an iron will against injustice and evil, standing firm during one of the most turbulent Church-State conflicts in medieval Norway.
