This brand-new title lets you journey through 500 years of human history, from the late medieval era all the way to the dawn of the industrial age. In collaboration with Paradox Interactive, I’ve had the pleasure of getting early access to give you a sneak peek at what this game has to offer.

If you’ve played other Paradox games, you’ll notice plenty of familiar mechanics — a blend of EU4’s strategy, CK3’s characters and dynasties, and Victoria’s detailed economy and building systems. I’m sure there’s a parts of Stellaris and Hearts of Iron influence in there too (though I’ll admit, I don’t play those as much). Mix all that together with some fresh ideas, and you’ve got EU5.
