Dover Street Market Paris x The New School Parsons Paris MA Fashion Studies, June 2024
“Projections” presented two research projects that explore the role of moving images and storytelling as tools to critically research and exhibit fashion beyond garments:
1/ Objects in Trouble
The 2023-24 outcome of this ongoing collaboration between Palais Galliera and the MA Fashion Studies at Parsons Paris is three video projects that highlight the increasing attention to issues of decolonization, institutional racism, cultural appropriation in relation to both the fashion industry and fashion museums.
2/ Research Stories
Four videos give a glimpse into a year of research process by selected masters students, demonstrating the heterogeneity and interdisciplinary nature of the field of fashion studies.
