Side chain compression : Frequency specific approach for low end clarity

Описание: In this technique, you need a multi band compressor which can handle key input. I’m using C6 from waves.

Bass and Kick can conflict in around similar frequency usually below 200Hz. You don’t wanna lose punchiness to the kick but can’t give up the fat bass sound. If you can compress the bass’ ONLY low frequency, ONLY when kick hits, all the problems are solved.

Find the Frequency conflicting between kick and bass. Isolate that frequency in the multi band compressor inserted on the Bass track. Compress the frequency with desired amount and speed, after setting the “trigger” to be the key input from the kick.
