Описание:
A marriage of Poulencesque piquancy and 16th-century dance tunes: Poulenc wrote his Suite française in 1935 for the characteristic combination of wind ensemble, harpsichord and percussion, based on the "Livres de danceries" by Claude Gervaise (1525–1583). Later, he made a piano version. This organ version is based on the piano edition, inspired by the wind sounds.
Illustrations from Thoinot Arbeau's Orchésographie (1589), an important source on 16th-century dancing.
