Eileen McMahon is a trauma-informed practitioner and dual-qualified solicitor with over 30 years’ experience supporting survivors of institutional abuse in Ireland and the Magdalene Laundries. Born in the UK of Irish parents, her experience with the Camden Irish Centre opened her up the pain and trauma of survivors.
In this video, Eileen shares her work representing survivors of childhood abuse, the Magdalene Laundries, and the stories of survivors who had been ignored and abandoned by their own country. She has worked on major redress schemes and inquiries, giving a voice to those impacted by decades of abuse and silence.
Alongside her legal work, Eileen is the founder of Claddagh Heart Ltd (2009), whichwas set up to provide complementary trauma-support sessions using EFT, NLP, Matrix Reimprinting and coaching methodologies.
