In this video I’m reacting to Actual Justice Warrior’s video “Leftists RAGE At Caleb Hammer For Exposing Welfare Fraud”, where he covers how some people on the left responded angrily after Caleb Hammer exposed instances of welfare misuse and poor financial decisions on his Financial Audit series.

Caleb’s format is simple: he invites guests with financial problems, breaks down their budgets, debts, and spending choices, and points out why they’re struggling and what behaviors are holding them back. Whether it’s someone with massive debt who insists on luxury purchases, or someone abusing benefits meant for essentials, the goal is to help people see where their money is going and how they can fix it.

Instead of engaging with the critique, some critics labelled him “socially corrosive” or went on the offensive — even though what he’s really doing is showing people how to take accountability and improve their financial lives. One meme floating around even calls out how people can’t stomach being honest about spending more than they make.

Here’s my take:

I’m supportive of Caleb Hammer. He’s not doing this to shame for the sake of it — he’s trying to help people own their choices, get out of debt, and take control of their finances. Calling out misuse of welfare or poor money habits isn’t mean — it’s accountability.

I’m critical of the left’s reaction. Instead of engaging with the substance — that someone might be overspending, misusing benefits, or ignoring basic budgeting principles — some people chose to attack the messenger and twist the message. That’s not honest dialogue.

Let’s be clear: exposing fraud and showing how financial choices affect real outcomes is not “corrosive” — it’s constructive. If you help someone pay off debt or stop making reckless spending decisions, you just improved their life. Complaining about someone highlighting that just because it’s uncomfortable doesn’t mean the criticism is wrong.
