TODAY’S READINGS
First Reading — Gen 12：1-4
Psalm — 32: 4-5, 18-20, 22
Second Reading — 2 Tim 1: 8-10
Gospel Reading — Mt 17: 1-9
The Transfiguration reminds us that before the cross, there is glory. On the mountain, the disciples see who Jesus truly is — not just a teacher, but the beloved Son of God. Yet this moment of light does not remove them from suffering; they must still come down the mountain and continue the journey to Jerusalem.
In our own lives, God also gives us “mountain moments” — times of clarity, peace, or deep prayer. These moments strengthen us, but they are not meant to be permanent. They prepare us to face daily struggles with faith.
The Father’s words are simple: “Listen to Him.” In times of confusion or fear, this is enough. If we keep listening to Jesus, even when the path is unclear, His light will guide us.
