Overall, new and pending sales are down for Oklahoma City, but it's not all dire news. With more days on the market, the overall sales price saw another year over year increase. These numbers show a leveling trend from the historically low interest rates that spurred a flurry of home sales in 2022. With all the fluctuations in interest rates toward the end of 2023, many people have been hesitant to enter the market. As these rates level over the coming year, home buyers and sellers alike will be eager to step back into the market.
Edmond saw similar decrease in inventory this year compared to last year. Days on the market is now averaging 36 days in Edmond and the market value of homes continues to rise by a narrow percentage over last year.
