That was my 30th birthday. We spent it outdoors with my family in my bushcraft camp.
That day was a foggy and warm weather. It wasn't typical to December. We hoped that there was snow in the woods, but only the lake was frozen. The forest reminded us a horror movie ("The Mist" or "The Walking Dead").
It wasn't easy to make a campfire, everything was wet. And my wife joked that we'd eat the raw meat. However I made the fire and the ribeye steaks tasted great. We spent a few hours in my camp eating, drinking Vietnamese coffee, playing with Han Solo the malinois.
It was a marvellous Bday for me.
By the way I bought a waterproof tent and made a roof of my shelter the day before. I think that I'll use it temporary and some time later I'll definitely make a turf roof.
