Drifting Car on Slippery Road Uproots Tree

A car uprooted a tree on a road side in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality when it drifted on a rainy day of Wednesday, with no injuries reported.
As a surveillance video showed, the car was turning right near a bus station in Liangjiang New District, when it lost control on the slippery road and started to drift at high speed and hit the tree on the roadside at around 08:00.
"We found a Porsche car, parking on the sidewalk, with the back of the car and its two tyres damaged," said a police officer surnamed Zhang.
Alcohol test ruled out the possibility of drunk driving, and initial investigations indicated that the accident was caused by inappropriate handling of the vehicle on slippery road.
The driver was later fined over 100,000 yuan for damaging public facilities.
