UK armed forces seize Russian shadow fleet tanker in Channel

Описание: British forces, including Royal Marines and the National Crime Agency, have boarded a sanctioned Russian oil tanker in the English Channel.

Posting on X, the prime minister said the operation "delivers yet another blow to Russia and reminds those fuelling Putin's war in Ukraine that we will not let them hide".

He added: "I want to thank those involved, including our Armed Forces and law enforcement officers who keep this country safe 24 hours a day, 365 days a year."

The tanker is part of Russia’s "shadow fleet," which carries a large share of its sanctioned oil and helps fund the war in Ukraine.
