At the Global Fintech Fest 2025 in Mumbai’s Jio World Centre, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said this year’s theme supports India’s democratic spirit. He highlighted that systems like UPI, Aadhaar payments, Bharat Bill Payment, Bharat QR, DigiLocker, Digi Yatra, and GEM form the foundation of India’s digital economy. Modi praised India’s digital systems for creating an open ecosystem. The Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) helps small shopkeepers and MSMEs reach new markets, while the Open Credit Enablement Network (OCEN) makes it easier for small entrepreneurs to get loans.
