Current State of Cadbury World (2024)
Cadbury World is in the midst of a transformation, with zones like Chocolate Making and parts of Advertising Avenue (including the much loved Gorilla set) closed for refurbishment until December 9, 2024. Temporary screens and construction work may alter the usual experience, but the attraction still offers plenty for visitors to enjoy. Here's what you can expect:

4D Chocolate Adventure: Immerse yourself in a thrilling chocolatey journey with this interactive cinematic experience.
Cadbury Chocolate Quest Ride: The brand-new ride, opened in April 2024, invites you to embark on an adventurous quest filled with Cadbury magic.
Have A Go Zone: Try your hand at chocolate piping and unleash your inner chocolatier.
Bournville Experience: Delve into the history of the Cadbury brand and its deep ties to the Bournville community.
Cadbury Characters: Meet the iconic characters that bring the Cadbury brand to life.
African Adventure Play Area: Great for younger visitors to burn off energy.

The Cadbury World Shop has been temporarily relocated near the play area while undergoing its own refurbishment, but it still offers an extensive selection of Cadbury favorites and exclusive merchandise. The Cadbury Cafe remains relatively unchanged

Cadbury World opened on August 14, 1990, as a £6 million investment to celebrate the company’s legacy and the magic of chocolate. The attraction, while not a factory tour, tells the story of chocolate-making and the rich history of the Cadbury brand. It was formally opened by then Prime Minister John Major on 12 April 1991.

Verdict: Is It Worth Visiting During Construction?
While the current tour is shorter than usual, Cadbury World still provides an experience for chocolate enthusiasts. The Cadbury Chocolate Quest Ride and 4D Chocolate Adventure are very good, as is the educational elements of the Bournville Experience. However, you might prefer to wait until after the refurbishment is complete in late 2024 to feel like you are getting your full money's worth. We used our Merlin Annual Passes so it didn't cost us anything to enter but would we you pay money for the experience? let us know in the comments.
