Sat Nam! This is a gentle way to warm up the spine and get energy moving. This Kriya takes place either in easy pose or Rock Pose(sitting with your butt on your heels, kneeling) but can be easily modified to sitting in a chair, on a bed, with firm back support as needed. As long as you are able to sit up as tall and relaxed as possible and to quickly get into a prone laying down position to rest. There are 1-2 minute rest periods in between each movement- this is how we train the nervous system to quickly relax. We move with intention, we rest with intention.
As a result of doing this Kriya, the spine is stimulated, the Chakras receive a burst of energy. This is a great Kriya to do as a prelude to a deep meditation or as a warm before a more challenging set of movements. It is also a wonderful Kriya to do everyday, as it is done in little more than 30 min- and will only get better the more you practice.
