Composer Vince DiCola, known for his scores for Rocky IV (1985), Transformers the Movie (1986) or the music for the video game Angry Birds – Transformers, offered a double-feature concert on Thursday, September 20th, at the Whisky A Go-Go venue.
At 8:00 p.m. he performed in the Star Saga new progressive rock band that made its debut at this event, with Vince DiCola (Keyboards and backing vocals), Rick Livingstone (vocals, guitar, and keyboards), Bobby Gianetti (Bass and backing vocals) and Victor St. John (Drums).
Then at 9:30 p.m., he performed instrumental and vocal material from his film score work as well as music from some of his video games, having on stage: Vince DiCola (Keyboards), Cody Carpenter – son of John Carpenter (Keyboards), George Nowik (Chapman Stick and bass), Kenny Meriedeth (Guitar), Keith Horn (Guitar and mallets), Rob Reynolds (Lead vocals) and Victor St. John (Drums).
