How's it going, neighbors Today, we're gonna take a look at the Thule OutPace two-bike carrier for your two-inch and inch-and-a-quarter hitch. And we're gonna see how well it fits on our 2024 Chevrolet Trailblazer. Now, the coolest thing about the OutPace is set up for my people that have limited space. Your receiver shank actually folds up and allows you to get it out into a, you know, where you can store it super easy. We're gonna go ahead and open up our latch and drop it in our receiver. It comes in kind of tight, so we're gonna let it down and then now we're securing it in place.
So in the upright position, it's not gonna fit very well, but you can see that it still goes onto your SUV pretty easily. Now, this guy has a really good anti-rattle. You can see all this slop that's in your receiver and when you crank it down, it actually helps keep it stable. Now, what that does for you, that causes less wear on your carrier and less wear on your bike itself. So just giving you a better overall experience.
Now, you can see right here, this guy actually has a included lock, so you can keep it nice and secure and you don't have to worry about having a pin because you have an automatic pin that goes right into your receiver hole. Now, converting this guy is just as easy as just unfolding it and snapping it in position. And you can see right here unloaded without any bikes, you not really getting obstructed by anything. Your backup camera and sensors are gonna pick it up, but you can still see fairly well. So now, we're gonna load up a bike and check it out.
This is gonna give you another contact point on your frame making it a frame-mounted bike carrier. So you're gonna be able to actually attach it this way. And one of the coolest features is the fact that it's a actual ratchet strap. So you can cinch this down to the right amount of tension for your bike. Now, while you're not using your your bike, you can actually put your straps away in these little slots here to keep 'em out of the way for getting everything loaded up.
Now, over here again, we're gonna have another ratchet strap and we're gonna be able to fit right on and get a good grip on our wheels to make sure we're secure heading out to our adventure. Once you're loaded up, your bike is pretty well strapped down and you have security on both one of your mounting points on your frame. Now, as far as with your bike on, you may have a little bit more obstruction as far as what you can see on the back of your bike, on the back of your car. You know, backup camera sensors, cargo area, you still should have some access 'cause it has a pretty cool tilt. Let me get this out the way. But that will vary depending on the width of your bars. But in this case, you're good to go on the 24 Trailblazer. Thule does a great job of creating products that get outta your way and allow you to just get out there to your adventure. And once you get to the trail head, I would love for you to send a photo because I just love seeing what you do and how you do it. So again, this is Ed with etrailer.com taking a look at the Thule OutPace on our 2024 Chevrolet Trailblazer. Have a great day.
