Vladimir Vasilyevich Skrabov (May 31, 1975, Yaroslavl, USSR - August 16, 2021, Yaroslavl, Russia) - Russian checkers player who specialized in drafts on a 64-square board (Russian checkers and Brazilian checkers). 1997 and 2007 World Champion according to MARSH, bronze medalist of the World Drafts-64 Team Championship (2017, IDF version), bronze medalist of the World Drafts-64 Team Championship (2018, FMJD version), 2007 European Champion (Blitz program ), European champion in the team event in 2009 - according to the FMJD. Winner of the 2017, 2015 and 2013 World Cup, silver medalist of the 2016, 2019 World Cup, bronze medalist of the 2014 World Cup (IDF / FMJD versions).

Winner of the USSR Cup (1991) as part of the RSFSR national team. Winner of the USSR Championship (1991). Multiple champion of Russia. Grandmaster of Russia in drafts. International Grandmaster FMJD, IDF and MARCH. Referee of the All-Russian category in drafts. Drafts coach-teacher of the highest category.

Permanently resided in the city of Yaroslavl. He died prematurely on August 16, 2021 at the age of 46 due to lung complications after suffering from a new coronavirus infection (COVID-19). Buried at the Leontief cemetery in Yaroslavl.

Чемпион мира 1997 и 2007 года по версии МАРШ, бронзовый призер командного чемпионата мира по шашкам-64 (2017 год, версия IDF), бронзовый призер командного чемпионата мира по шашкам-64 (2018, версия FMJD), чемпион Европы 2007 года (молниеносная программа), чемпион Европы в командном зачёте в 2009 году - по версии ФМЖД. Обладатель Кубка мира 2017, 2015 и 2013 годов, серебряный призер Кубка мира 2016, 2019 года, бронзовый призёр Кубка мира 2014 года (версии IDF/FMJD).

Обладатель Кубка СССР (1991 год) в составе сборной команды РСФСР. Победитель первенства СССР (1991 год). Многократный чемпион России. Гроссмейстер России по шашкам. Международный гроссмейстер FMJD, IDF и МАРШ. Судья Всероссийской категории по шашкам. Тренер-преподаватель по шашкам высшей категории.

Постоянно проживал в городе Ярославле. Безвременно умер 16 августа 2021 года в возрасте 46 лет ввиду осложнений на лёгкие после перенесённого заболевания новой короновирусной инфекцией (COVID-19). Похоронен на Леонтьевском кладбище в Ярославле.
