In this video, we’re hitting the slopes to celebrate the incredible legends of midweek skiing. From a great-grandmother who feels like she’s twelve again to an 89-year-old tackling black diamonds, these stories prove that the exhilaration of skiing only gets better with time.
We’re sharing the camaraderie, the "corduroy" mornings, and the deep history of our sport—including a look back at the days of walking up the hill at Green Hill Park before the luxury of rope tows!
Inside This Episode:
Celine: The resilient director of a children’s racing program returning to the snow pain-free after an ankle bone graft.
Jerry: A look at his unique "Ski boards" and the joy of trying something new.
The Multi-Generational Legacy: Meeting Shirley, George, and their son Michael, as well as Eileen and Ed, who take us back to their early days at Killington and Pat’s Peak.
Mick the Patroller: A dedicated part-time ski patroller who spends his days off doing exactly what he loves—skiing.
Millie (Age 89): Watch as Millie from the Mountain Laurel Skiers takes on Black Diamond trails alongside her 61-year-old daughter, Sharon.
Monica: A great-grandmother who shares the secret to staying young on the snow.
Our mission is to inspire seniors to stay active and celebrate the mental and physical health benefits of skiing. We love highlighting the accomplishments of veteran skiers and sharing the nostalgia of the 60s and 70s ski culture.
Do you know an awesome senior skier who is still shredding? Tell us their story in the comments below! We’d love to feature more legends of the slopes.
