The Chief of the Defence Staff Lecture is an established RUSI tradition, addressing the challenges facing the Armed Forces, as well as broader considerations of UK security. This is one of the highlights of RUSI's events calendar and there are opportunities for members to participate in a Q&A session after the lecture.
The 2022 lecture was chaired by Ritula Shah, journalist and broadcaster, and RUSI Advisory Board Member.
Admiral Sir Tony Radakin was appointed Chief of the Defence Staff in the UK Ministry of Defence on 30 November 2021. He previously served as First Sea Lord and Chief of the Naval Staff.
