Chanaganserry,June 25 2011 : In a smooth transition ,G Sukumaran Nair,the all powerful general secretary --in charge and former secretary of the Nair Service Society was unanimously elected to the post of general secretary ,at the annual budget meet of the organization held at Perunna today.
P K Narayana Panikkar,who had relinquished his general secretary post after his health began to fall a few months ago,has been unanimously elected as president of the organization,a post from which incumbent P V Neelakanta Pillai has stepped down,that too on health grounds .
The meet has also re-elected P N Narendranathan Nair unanimously as treasurer for a third term.Incidentally,none has been elected to the post of secretary,which was held by G Sukumaran Nair,till he took over as general secretary in-charge.
