Chief Meteorologist Chris Tomer and Meteorologist Aaron White are discussing Monday's snowfall and when we could possibly see snow again this week.
LATEST FORECAST: https://www.10tv.com/weather/
Expect cloudy skies with light snowfall through the early part of today. Temps will fall into the mid to low 20s, with wind chills in the teens to single digits.
These winds and cold conditions will continue through the rest of the day paired with mostly cloudy skies and lingering flurries possible. Highs will reach around 31 during the afternoon, but wind chills will remain much colder, mostly in the teens to around 20. Winds will gust as high as 30 mph throughout the day.
Drier weather returns Tuesday, as temps rise into the mid-30s, but a quick burst of rain and snow will slide through with a clipper late Tuesday night through early Wednesday. This shouldn't impact the daylight hours either day, with impacts expected to be minor. Clearing skies and highs in the mid-40s are expected following this for Wednesday.
A bigger weather maker will return to our region on Thursday, with widespread rain and snow expected. Right now, the transition line is likely to be along to north of I-70, with areas to the south only seeing rain, and more potential for snow to mix in to the north. Highs will be near 40 in Columbus Thursday afternoon, but you should stick with us as we refine this forecast, as this will likely change as we pin down the rain/snow line with this system.
After that quiet and milder weather returns heading into next weekend. Expect a fair amount of sunshine for Friday through the weekend, with highs going from the low 40s Friday, to low 50s Saturday, and upper 40s again by Sunday.
