VFC COVID-19 Health & Safety Precautions
Some of the practices we will be implementing in order to do our part to keep members and staff safe during the COVID-19 Pandemic include, but are not limited to:
Installing touchless hand sanitizer dispensers in the front lobby and asking that all members, spectators, non-member guests, and staff utilize hand sanitizer upon entry and between classes.
Installing touchless hand soap and paper towel dispensers in each bathroom and asking that all members, spectators, non-member guests, and staff frequently wash their hands for a minimum of 20 seconds with clean, warm, and soapy water.
Increasing our already aggressive sanitation practices and applying a professional medical grade quick-dry disinfectant to high-touch surfaces, equipment, and mats between classes as well as on a scheduled high-frequency interval. This disinfectant is safe to the touch, requires no PPE for application, and does not pose a danger to children.
Checking member, spectator, non-member guest, and staff temperatures upon entry with a touchless infrared thermometer, as well as evaluating for other signs of illness. Any person with a temperature over 100 Degrees Fahrenheit or exhibiting any other signs of illness will not be permitted entry to the facility and will be encouraged to see a medical professional for evaluation.
Asking ALL members, spectators, non-member guests, and staff to please stay home from the gym for a minimum of two weeks if sick, or if any member of their household is sick and to please immediately inform VFC Management of any potential or verified exposure to COVID-19.
Asking all staff, members, spectators and non-member guests to please wear a mask or face covering at all times when NOT PARTICIPATING IN ANY CLASSES. Members can elect to wear a mask or face covering during training if desired, though it is not required.
Encouraging members, spectators, non-member guests, and staff to practice social distancing when not training, sparring, or utilizing shared equipment (such as shields, mitts, and other pads) when possible.
Assigning limited quantities of dedicated equipment (when applicable) per member, per class and limiting training partners to ONE dedicated training partner per class session, and/or training day when possible.
Eliminating ALL loaner gear. No exceptions.
Reminding members to please wear clean shoes when using the restroom or walking about the facility when not training and asking that members please respect our policy of no outside shoes allowed on mats, in the ring, and in the cage. If members elect to wear training specific shoes, they must only use a dedicated pair that are not worn outside of the facility.
Allowing refreshments, gear, and pro-shop items to also be purchased via VENMO and CASH APP to reduce the handling of cash.
Asking that all members, spectators, non-member guests, and staff adhere to all applicable posted signage, flyers, and posters pertaining to COVID-19 Guidelines.
Our number one concern is the health and safety of our members and staff, and thus, we are implementing these guidelines in order to reduce the risk of the transmission of COVID-19. We want to continue to provide a clean, safe, and encouraging environment to our VFC Family and will do whatever it takes to do so.
See you on the mats!
