Описание: In this episode of Becoming Artsy, Jessie goes back to her oceanography roots on a field trip to San Diego. Oceanographer Melissa Carter takes Jessie and artist Judit Hersko on a water- sampling adventure on Scripps historic pier. Jessie continues her exploration of PST ART: Art & Science Collide with exhibitions Mosaic Ocean and Ha Kwaiyo at the Birch Aquarium, and follows her curiosity to a Kumeyaay Boat Launch at Silver Strand beach. Jessie helps build a traditional tule boat, participates in an exciting boat race, and learns about the importance of the Kumeyaay language from educator and President of Kumeyaay Community College, Stan Rodriguez.
