Blood is one of the most important components of the body, which plays a vital role in carrying oxygen and other nutrients. Due to an accident or any occasional cuts, if there is any cut then blood starts to flow out the body, which may cause severe blood loss. but our body has its own mechanism to prevent blood loss. it's called blood clotting. What js blood clotting, how blood clots.
Procedure-
1- Sterilize the finger with the help of alcohol swab for the determination of blood clotting time by slide method
2- Massage the finger gently to allow the proper blood flow to the tip of the finger
3. Prick the finger with the help of pricker pen for the determination of blood clotting time by slide method
4- Place a drop of blood on the slide for the determination of blood clotting time by slide method
5- After each 30 sec try to pull the drop of blood till a threadlike appearance comes
