How to change the Cerushield wax filter on the receiver of your Phonak or Unitron receiver in the canal hearing aid with a dome (from Phonak Marvel onwards and the Unitron equivalent so models such as as I say Marvel, Paradise, Lumity, Blu and Vivante).
These are a little different to use than the “stick” equivalent but were designed to have a larger capacity.
Don’t make the mistake of leaving too long between changes as then is wax blocks the receiver you will be changing receivers (speakers) rather than just a filter!
We recommend changing them monthly and doing it on the first of the month to remember more easily.
Each pack contains 8 filters section 2/removal tools section 1.
Please ensure you use both thumbs to rotate the dial.
You should have been supplied two pack with each pair of hearing aids.
Further supplies can be obtained from your audiology clinic such as zone1hearing in West Hampstead or through online suppliers.
