Abandoned Grocery Store With Everything Left Behind

Описание: When it comes to exploring abandoned buildings, the best locations are often ones that suddenly close down and seemingly leave everything behind. Well this Ohio grocery store was one abandoned location that should have never left anything behind, because when they did, it created one of hell of a toxic situation and had the most putrid fumes one can imagine.
How can something like this even happen? Well it all started back in 2020 when a local Ohio-based international foods store, La Plaza Tapatia took over the same storefront space as the one-time community staple Foodtown, which had previously served the locals for nearly 20 years before it sadly closed one year prior in 2019.
Regrettably for La Plaza Tapatia, they had recently made news headlines after one of its staff had been caught on video licking some of the store’s meat that had been for sale. This incident surely didn’t help the store’s reputation and within just two years, La Plaza Tapatia had closed, however, nobody seemed to have paid attention or noticed that the grocery store had left all of the freezers, coolers, refrigeration units, and shelves full of numerous food products. Eventually, the stores freezers and reefers began to malfunction and break down and without anyone around to perform any maintenance, the conditions went from bad to worse. With the large majority of the leftover food already far beyond their expiration date, suddenly more than half of the store’s power somehow got shut off and once again, without anyone around to take notice, that sealed the fate of the grocery stores now certain doom.
After sitting unchecked and untouched for almost an entire year, the neighboring stores and customers passing by began to complain of a foul odor protruding from the former grocery store. This led to the shocking discovery that the company had in fact left everything behind, including all of the food items, most notable of all was the now decomposing meats and moldy dairy products, which at this point had looked more like some kind of science experiment as opposed to anything even remotely edible.
Thankfully for us, by the time we made our way inside the hazardous former international foods store all of the grotesque meat, most of the dairy products, and the sickening stench had been long gone. What we did find was the grocery aisles, once filled with shoppers looking for their favorite international meal, now lay dark and empty. Various condiment jars still sat on the shelves, untouched by time, the canned goods and boxes of cereal had long expired, and gallons of milk sat spoiled rotten. With a wild history and everything that we found still left inside, this abandoned grocery store will forever remain one of the most unique places that we have ever done.
