This initiative opens up long-term opportunities for local businesses and individuals to engage in defense projects. With 18 LCMs and future vessels planned, we are expanding shipbuilding capabilities to produce larger, more complex ships and ensure sovereign shipbuilding for Australia. 5) Spain signs contract with Airbus for 100 helicopters
The Spanish government has contracted Airbus Helicopters for 100 rotorcraft, including 13 H135s for pilot training and utility, 50 H145Ms for the Army in light attack and relief missions, 6 H175Ms for government transport, and 31 NH90s for tactical transport and special operations. These helicopters will serve the Air and Space Force, Army, and Navy, replacing outdated fleets and enhancing military capabilities.
