American Airlines
Started in 1930 as conglomeration of 80+ airlines. Robertson Aircraft Corporation and Colonial Air Transport merged in 1929 to form The Aviation Corp, then to American Airways in 1930 and American Airlines in 1934. AA bought TWA in 2002 and was able to serve many more routes internationally after acquiring those routes.
In 2013 AA merged with US Air to form the worlds largest Airline by fleet size. HQ is in Fort Worth, Texas.
Boeing 767
Wide body airliner project began in on July 14th, 1978 and entered service on September 8th, 1982 with United Airlines, the 767-300ER was introduced in 1988 and was the most popular variant. It was Boeings first wide body twin jet. Same glass cockpit as the 757. Designed to replace the 707 but with a smaller fuselage than the 747. Fuselage width was 16feet 5 inches so used a smaller LD2 container. Two man crew with glass cockpit. The -300ER was offered in 1984. Entered service was launch customer an entered service on March 3rd, 1988. A total of 583 were delivered. Eventually replaced by the Dreamliner.
