Today one of my Patrons challenged me to make some prog rock on the MPC One. So, I decided to try and recreate one of my absolute favorite moments in any prog rock song, the drum and bass parts from the guitar solo section of Tom Sawyer, by Rush. While we did eventually get there, I had many frustrating experiences with the MPC One along the way, furthering my realization that I just don't enjoy the MPC workflow. That being said, I do recognize and respect the giant legacy that Akai and MPC have created in electronic music, and mean no disrespect toward either of those names, or the MPC community.
