The mother Dana had been very close with a stellar son. In total, she gave birth to five kids: three with William and two with a man, whose name is unknown. She died in 2018, at the age of 65 because of cancer.

Julie is a paternal half-sister, who was very close with Colton. She worked at United Counseling Service and had been married to Ken Held with whom she shared three kids. She died in spring of 2020, aged 51.
