Pokémon's Type system is a construct of game design which gets strangely overlooked. So many people have grown used to thinking about it "logically" that they've forgotten that it's just a game, and therefore is bound by game design rules.
So, let's go through each and every Type and discuss the considerations which may have gone into the creation of each of them, starting with the original trio of Fire, Water, and Grass.
