If God had not sustained us in the desert,
Or let the oceans wall collapse and fall…
If he had not provided daily manna,
Or water from the rock to quench us all…
If God had not surrounded us with fire;
Provided warmth and light all through the night…
If he had not delivered us from Egypt -
Today his name would never come to light!
Chorus 1: praise the God of Moses and of Jacob! Praise the one who saves us from our sin (and shame).
He alone is worthy of all honor; he alone is worthy of all praise!
