About 18 months ago I dug up this berberis bush root ball from my Grandma's garden. It has been drying out since then an I have finally dared to turn it.
Once I had rough turned it I found that the inclusions were quite deep in places and I would not have managed to turn it as it was - I therefore decided to split it in two and add resin to the first piece.
I really think the blue resin has worked well in contrast with the natural yellow colour of the wood.
