This is UPGRID (Real proven solutions to enable active demand and distributed generation flexible integration, through a fully controllable LOW Voltage and medium voltage distribution grid) – an evolution, not a revolution of smart grids!
UPGRID is an H2020 project composed by a consortium of 19 partners from 7 European countries. To be successful, this project relies on 4 demonstrators – Bilbao (Spain), Lisbon (Portugal), Ӓmӓl (Sweden) and Gdynia (Poland) – that are fully aligned with the European smart grids roadmap.
UPGRID project has reived funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No. 646.531
