National Conference leader Dr Farooq Abdullah has made a strong political statement, warning against attempts to divide Jammu and Kashmir. He said that those advocating fragmentation should understand that Ladakh is now demanding to rejoin Jammu and Kashmir. Responding to Mehbooba Mufti’s demand for separate divisions for Pir Panjal and Chenab regions, Dr Abdullah remarked that many people are eager to break the state into pieces. He also rejected fresh demands for new districts, stating that Jammu and Kashmir already has enough districts and needs better administration, not more divisions.
