⁴ᴷ Tokushima: Naruto Station (徳島県: 鳴門駅) - Japan Walking Tour (January, 2026)

Описание: I’ve decided to take an off-season trip back to my hometown in Kobe, using it as a starting point for a journey all the way around Shikoku. After traveling through Takamatsu, Kochi, the Ashizuri Peninsula, and Matsuyama, I’ve finally reached the final prefecture of my trip: Tokushima. My first stop here is Naruto City.

Naruto is world-famous for its whirlpools and sweet potatoes, and while I’ve passed through many times, I realized I had never actually explored the city center.

The area around Naruto Station has a scattered selection of restaurants, and a short walk away, I found a shopping street with arcades covering the sidewalks. While there was plenty of car traffic, I hardly passed a single pedestrian—a clear sign of a city designed for a motor-oriented society. It was a quiet, observant walk after sunset, revealing a different side of Naruto away from the major tourist spots.
